Hosting the Taliah Waajid hair show in Atlanta!

This past weekend on April 27th, I had the pleasure of hosting the empowerment panel at the Taliah Waajid hair show in Atlanta.Taliah is the definition of a BOSS! She launched her own amazing natural hair care line and if you haven't tried all I have to say is.....oh no baby, what is you doing? lol! I promise you, her products are amazing for our hair!

 The goal of the panel to inspire all the ladies in the place to be and I think we accomplished that mission!

The first thing I did when I found out I was booked for this gig was to prep and do my research on the panelists. It's really important to know who are you speaking to and who the esteemed panelists are. Helps with the keeping the conversation flowing!

This was me backstage prepping minutes before the event - just going over notes and making sure I highlighted the key points I wanted to make!

For the occasion I worked with my friend stylist Clarence White! Love how he put these pieces together. The pants and dress are from Beatrice .b Italia, the shoes are from Nine West and rings/earrings from Jilani Jewels. The outfit makes a big difference when you are hosting - it's the cherry on top that keeps you feeling extra confident.

All in all, I had a great time as evidenced by this big ole smile on my face. The entire panel lasted about an hour and half and I hope attendees got insight into how to run their own businesses and how to thrive in the corporate environment!
