History has been made: Black Coffee wins BET International Act: Africa Award

2016 has been quite the remarkable year for Black Coffee and my friends, it's only June.

If you follow him on Twitter or Instagram then you know how BOOKED he is. From constantly playing sold out shows all over the world to having hip hop mogul P. Diddy give the dope DJ and producer his due praise on social media, this year has been killer for the musical maestro.

But his historic win today may take the cake. I kinda had a feeling it would happen and I am so glad I was right!

Earlier today during a pre-awards ceremony, Black Coffee became the first South African artist to win the BET Intl Act Africa award. He beat out formidable musicians such as Wizkid, AKA, Yemi Alade and many more. EPIC!

He tweeted this following his win

The 2016 BET awards air tomorrow (June 26) in the US and unfortunately we won't get to see Black Coffee's win stateside, but for audiences in Africa you can catch his acceptance speech when the awards air on BET on June 28.

By the way, can we just take a second to stop and stare Black Coffee and his wife Enhle? They are slaying these LA streets!

Talk about a power duo. Love it! Congrats to Black Coffee! #MzansiStandUp
