Lupita Nyong'o shares first photo from her Disney movie "Queen of Katwe"

Mark your calendars - this movie looks like it will be a must see.  Scheduled to be released in the fall of 2016, the first image from Lupita Nyongo's The Queen of Katwe was released today by Disney.

Directed by Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding) and based on Tim Crothers’ book (expanded from an ESPN the Magazine article), the film stars Nalwanga as Phiona Mutsei, a young girl from the slums of Kampala who chases her dream of becoming an international chess champion.

Nyong’o plays Phiona’s mother, and David Oyelowo plays a missionary who teaches chess to local kids.

The movie was shot in Uganda and South Africa last summer and this scene gives us a glimpse of what's to come. I can't wait!
