I remember a few years ago, I used to hate Monday's. I would cringe at the the thought of my weekend ending. Sunday night and I always fought a vicious mental battle with the constant looming thought that the inevitable would happen- I would have to face Monday! Ugggggh!! I would rather pull my hair out strand by strand than to face Monday!
Why did I have all this angst towards Monday? Well quite frankly I worked a corporate and crazy job that I absolutely hated. The thought of dealing with some of my co-workers put me instant bad mood. They were that bad. Also, I didn't like the direction my career was going, so yes I couldn't stand some people at work but it was bigger than them. I wasn't living the life I was supposed to so everything was out of sync.
Thank God those days are over. I am now my own boss. Even though that comes with a LOT of responsibility I wouldn't change it for the world. Let me not sugar coat it- working for yourself is probably one of the hardest things I have ever done. It's a huge undertaking. Essentially if you don't work, you don't eat. So the thought of waking up every single morning to go out and hunt so I can survive can be a little daunting but that is the path I have the chosen and I wouldn't have it another other way.
I can finally say that in 2015 I am walking in my purpose. I read a quote by actress Anne Hathaway that really resonated with me - "life's too short to be anyone but yourself." And she is so right. You have to go after what you want with strong conviction otherwise your dreams will just pass you by. Anyway, I now LOVE Monday's. I approach each week with vision, clarity and prayer, asking God to guide my steps to make sure I am living the life I am supposed to.
If you hate Monday's as much as I used to, I would urge you to re-evaluate your life. What's really causing you to feel this way? What can you change in order to have the life you want? Are you really walking in your purpose? If you are wavering on any of this, then Babe we have some work to do. You only get one shot at this thing called life, this is not a dress rehearsal!
I hope you all have a great week ahead!
Until next time!
Xoxo
