The Glamorous Life with Vimbai Mutinhiri

The former "Big Brother Africa" contestant and current TV presenter tells us what keeps her looking gorgeous! Let's get into this week's profile of the Glamorous Life

1) Describe your rules for dressing on the red carpet? How do you select your outfits?
I think simplicity is everything - I always choose something elegant and timeless. I don't want to look back at the pictures in 5 years and cringe!

2) Do you have any past beauty faux pas that you regret?
I have too many to mention! lol. Lets just say I have learnt my lesson about not photographing my make up in unflattering light before heading out - you never know what lighting to expect at an event so be prepared for it to be terrible and you will look flawless no matter what.

3) What's the best beauty advice you've ever gotten?
It was very simple: never sleep with make up on and HYDRATE!

4) What's your favorite place(s) in the world  to visit?
Definitely Zanzibar! I'm a real island girl.

5) Walk us through a typical day in your life
My alarm goes off at 5:30, I meditate then catch up on news and social media updates, then shower and quick breakfast. I usually get to the office and attend to my emails before getting into hair and make up and doing my shoots for the day. Depending on the day and what's on the cards - that could take me to about 6pm. I then approve episodes of my show for broadcast, hit the gym and pass out on my couch!!

6) Who is your beauty icon?
Definitely Naomi Campbell. Unbelievably flawless!

7) What's your life philosophy?
I have so many! In this moment I am teaching myself to put myself first and to be fair to myself - I always pursue the good in people and by all means try to give the best of myself at all times. In doing this its easy to neglect yourself. So for now, Vimbai is feeding her soul.

8) When do you feel the most beautiful?
After I wash off my make up at night after a long successful day. Accomplishment is so sexy!

9) What's your fitness regimen?
I do tons of bikram yoga and I like to take walks and runs outdoors.

10) What new projects are you working on?
So excited about a brand new travel project in partnership with South African Tourism where I have had the opportunity to take African celebs on holiday in South Africa and we've tried some insane adrenalin filled activities. It will hit your screens on Africa Magic on, and the rest of the world will get to enjoy it at the end of the year!

Make sure to keep up with Vimbai  as she continues to conquer the world. Follow her on Twitter to see what she's up to!
