I
am sure by now most have heard about the benefits of having Apple Cider
Vinegar in your home. There are so MANY uses for it - from detoxify your home,
regulating the pH of your skin and not to mention that it removes stains from teeth..the use cases are endless! But for
me, the most essential reason is my hair! Although it smells
absolutely dreadful, it is my replacement for shampoo. I clean my
hair every two weeks and I have learned that shampoo has a lot of
detergents that strip out the natural oils from your hair, the most
commonly known one is sulfate. The ACV rinse balances hair and scalp
pH, removes product buildup, and can also treat dandruff and hair
loss. I have tried a few shampoos’ that are sulfate free and they didn't seem to work for me. Although I want to try a few other
sulfate free shampoos in the near future, I will be sticking to this
cleansing process in the meantime.
So
let’s go through the steps on how to do this! All you need is a
spray bottles, Apple Cider Vinegar, and water. I have heard of people
using baking soda, but I have not tried that yet. Fill about half of
the spray bottle with apple cider vinegar and the other half with
water.
I have found parting my hair into 6 or more sections helps me really distribute this concoction into my hair. In each section start from root to tip and detangle and massage the rinse all throughout, remember your hair is dirty and needs to be cleaned thoroughly. Once a section is done I put my hair into Bantu knots, put a shower cap over it and let it sit for about 20-30min.
Beware! This stuff really does smell (yikes) just think about how soft, shiny, clean and most importantly Flawless your hair is about to be.

Rinse
out with warm water and do me a favor - really feel your hair
before you put the conditioner in. The ACV really does its job,
cleaning out all the dirt while still keeping it really soft; I just
want my naturalistas to really feel the difference from most
shampoos. Continue on with your regular conditioner wash and style
to your liking.

this rinse!
