Miss South Africa wins the Miss World title!

Meet your new Miss World!

Miss South Africa, a 22-year-old medical student Rolene Strauss was crowned the real MVP in today's glitzy ceremony in London.

Wearing a curve hugging gorgeous gown, she beat out 121 other contestants – including runners-up from Hungary (Edina Kulcsár) and the United States (Elizabeth Safrit) – to take home the highly coveted Miss World title and blinged out crown.

She was crowned by outgoing Miss World Megan Young, of the Philippines.

Now what makes this victory sweeter for Rolene must be that.... before she left for London there was some serious talk around her national costume. She debuted the eye brow raising dress to the dismay and disappointment to South African pageant fans. I will admit, I didnt think it was flattering at all.

Folks thought the gown was a diastrous mess and I agreed. It had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I mean look at it below....bad clothes do happen to good people.

Well Rolene is laughing all the way to bank today. She must having a serious ki-ki. Damn a costume, she's Miss World! This just shows how focused she was. People will always talk and give you their opinions, just do like Rolene and keep your eye on the prize. Lesson learned!

Congrats Chica!
