Rick Ross films music video in Nigeria

Im not a Rick Ross fan, but even I cant hate on this boss move. Ricky Rozay was apparently in Nigeria over the weekend shooting a music video on the streets of Lagos.

According to the Daily Times Nigeria the video for 'Hold me back', a track off his recent 5th studio album 'God Forgives, I Don’t', was shot on the streets of Obalende at the Sura market area.

The video, which was directed by Maybach Music official films director, Spiff TV, saw the American artist relating with Nigerians on the streets of Obalende. The shoot started at about 1PM and lasted for 2 hours.

The US version of ’Hold me back‘ was released in July and generated controversy when it got banned by music network BET.

Rick tweeted afterwards: “Filming in the slums in Lagos. I just bought out the whole grocery store and gave it to the village. #MMG presence strong in our homeland.” Wowzers!!!

Rick Ross also performed to an eager Lagos crowd at the St. EVE’s Summer Jam Festival held at Eko Hotel on Friday, August 18, 2012 in Nigeria.

I heard the show was a runaway success featuring acts from all over the continent. That's so dope! I'm loving how American artists are realizing how viable the market is in Africa. I expect to see a lot more of this type of thing happening! Thoughts?
