Recently, I got the chance to host a television special for BET Africa and BET International for their Black Girls Rock All Access Special! It was a chance to go behind the scenes of the show and capture what dosen't make it on TV. I interviewed our fave celebrities backstage and got upclose and personal with a few stars on the red carpet. It was a very eventful and fulfilling two days. So much black girl magic!
For the occasion I wore a two piece from Queen E Collection for day one of the special.
I love when a look comes together - my makeup and hair were bomb too so I felt super confident and ready to capture some magic!
Let's fast forward to the day of the show - as evidenced by my smile I was waaaaay too excited!
On the carpet I caught up with actress Amandla Sternberg. I have watched her grow over the years and it's always such a joy to chat with her. She was one of my first celebrity interviews so I am forever indebted to her and her mama.
Also caught up with gospel songstress Yolanda Adams and her daughter on the carpet! Like mother, like daughter...the beauty runs deep in that family!
One of my FAVE interviews of the night! The one and only Fantasia. Y'all she is so special, we are lucky to witness the talent that is Fanny. She greeted everyone when she walked in the room and you can immediately feel her positive energy. She is such a light!
I also got a chance to interview one of my fave singers EVER - Jazmine Sullivan. We kiki'd on the carpet and chopped it up about her performance at Black Girls Rock.
Overall I had a great time. I am so blessed to call this passion of mine a job. Here's a toast to the rest of 2018, can't wait to see where my next adventure takes me!
