Let me rewind a little. A few months ago, I met the fierce Pearl Thusi in the most serendipitous way.

On July 10, I essentially broke the news of the South African stunner being cast in Quantico Season 2....after I did a bit of Instagram stalking. My discerning eye spotted the beauty on Priyanka Chopra's Instagram account and that was all the confirmation I needed.
Remember that? It was so incredible, I even trended in South Africa because of that lil nugget of info. You can refresh your memory here, if you forgot how that went down.

As luck would have it, we were eventually introduced by a mutual friend in New York shortly after her casting was revealed. And we immediately clicked.
So when Pearl invited me to Priyanka Chopra's private residence (I can't believe I just typed that out) for the premiere party, I couldn't say yes fast enough.

As soon I was walked into the soiree, I was greeted by a bevy of smiling faces. Everyone was so nice! We were served mouth-watering Indian food while the DJ spinned some class R&B tracks on the rooftop. All of this action happened a few hours before the show kicked off. The ambiance was just perfect. A few minutes before the show started, I followed the cast down to Priyanka's place to see the show!
While I anxiously waited for the season premiere, I have to tell you who I met first? Blair FREAKING Underwood .

Swoooooon! He is so fine y'all. Wouldn't it be accurate to call him everyone's Male Crush Everyday. Would you believe me if I told you he was even better looking in person? And that he is so polite? I loved that about him!

I can't say enough great things about Priyanka Chopra. She is GODDESS! So unbelievably gorgeous yet so personable - I was truly star-struck. She was the ultimate hostess with the mostess making sure all of her guests were pampered and looked after.
Peeps, can I speak from the heart for a second? I am just so EFFIN' proud of Pearl.
Even though we are new friends, it feels like we've known each other for a lifetime. She's incredibly successful but yet she is so down-to-earth. I've seen how hard she works so her accolades are no fluke. I am so inspired by her - seeing her flourish reminds me of God's grace and favor. Pearl is living proof that anything is possible with hard work and perseverance!

On my way out, I spotted Nigerian-born actress Tracy Ifeachor. Isn't she fly? Her sister designed the lovely two-piece, you can see more of her pieces here. Also, don't you just love her character on Quantico? I can't wait to see more of her!
