The Africa they never show you: I found 5 luxury safari tours everyone should know about

Let me make this disclaimer right now.

Most of the places listed below are super expensive, hence the word luxury. I''m talking at least $400 a night. They ain't cheap - but if you can save your coint and gather a little change in the bank then I would highly recommend going to visit. I have been to one of the places on my list but my goal is to go to all five.

My wish is that everyone could see how diverse and rich Africa is. So much more to us than what you see on TV. With that out of the way- check out my list (in no particular order) of five luxury safari tours everyone should know about

1. Zimbabwe - The Hide Safari Camp

Located in Zimbabwe The Hide Safari Camp has earned its place as a top safari destination, for both the exceptional wildlife experience and the hospitality it offers.

Guests can unwind in beautifully-furnished tents boasting ensuite bathrooms and private verandas. The veranda looks onto a nearby waterhole — keep your binoculars on hand, as elephant, lion and rhino can often be seen slaking their thirst.

2. Kenya - Giraffe Manor

 How cool is this?

At Giraffe Manor, a small hotel in the suburb of Kenya you can actually  feed the giraffes at your breakfast table, through the front door and outside of your bedroom window.

3. NamibiaSossusvlei Desert Lodge

Surrounded by the mountains and sand dunes of the Namib Desert, Sossusvlei Desert Lodge is an escape to the world as it should be. Sheer silence, total tranquility and romantic luxury. From stargazing to intimate picnics in the desert, this is an extraordinary desert wilderness Nestled deep in the heart of Namibia's ancient Namib Desert in Southern Africa, the lodge is a secluded and serene oasis that overlooks awe-inspiring dunes and stony outcrops.

4. Botswana- Madikwe

Madikwe Safari Lodge is ideally situated in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve. This lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve boasts 3 exclusive camps with a total of 20 suites, ensuring privacy. Each suite features a spacious sitting area with circular fireplace and en-suite bathroom.

I've actually stayed at this lodge before and I loved it there!!!

5. Seychelles - North Island
A safari by definition is an expedition to observe or hunt animals in their natural habitat. And what better place to do that than the Seychelles where 50% of the country is set aside for conservation. The North Island is ideal for exploring the fascinating island forests and discovering fascinating giant tortoises or watch flying foxes.

Giant tortoises are some of the island's oldest residents
