Meet the black beauties competing in the Miss USA 2015 competition

Even though pageants are held and celebrated all around the world- it's still surprising to me that there's not a lot women of color that competing in the sport. Yes, I said sport, it takes a LOT of time, effort and physical abilities to win a pageant and become a state title holder. I love celebrating the women of color vying for the crown, so in no particular order allow me to introduce the black beauties competing for the MISS USA 2015 title.

Miss colorado usa - TALYAH POLEE

FUN FACT: She helped to raise 80K in 11 days for cancer research for St. Jude Children's hospital 

Miss Delaware USA - RENEE BULL

FUN FACT: Launched her first business, a custom jewelry boutique called Intricate Designs

Miss MARYLAND USA- MAME ADJEI

FUN FACT: Mame's first modeling experience was at the age of six in Switzerland, when she was scouted to be featured in a Church brochure.

Miss Nevada USA - BRITTANY MCGOWAN

FUN FACT_ Brittany is multi-racial. She is English, Irish, Scottish, Italian, Puerto Rican and African American.

MISS TENNESSEE USA - KIARA YOUNG

FUN FACT: Kiara has been a NFL cheerleader for the Tennessee Titans for two years. She performs at all home games and is an ambassador in her community.

Miss USA 2015, will be held on June 21, 2015 on a venue to be announced. Good luck to all 51 contestants. Can't wait!
