Tamera Mowry Housley reveals that she was nervous about showing her natural hair on daytime TV

A few weeks ago "The Real" co-host Tamera Mowry Housley teased fans by saying that she was going to wear her natural hair on national TV. Well today she put her money where her mouth was by showing us all her au natural coif

So pretty!

The 36 year old spilled the tea on her look:

"Growing up on TV, you guys saw my natural hair. I had naturally curly hair. But throughout the years we straightened it, I blow dried it, I put a hot comb to it. I went through a really rough stage of my hair to where I had to do the big chop. Which is basically chopping all of your damaged hair off and starting anew. So I was a little nervous cause not many people are not used to seeing me like this. So this is me, this who I truly am."

Tamera's co-host on the Real chimed in on the matter stating she will never wear her natural hair on TV. Tamar emphasized "please don't tweet or Instagram saying you wan't to see Tamar's natural hair." She then looked into the camera and said "Wigs on fleek" meaning her wigs are on point, we will never see her own hair coming out of her scalp. Womp womp!

It's so funny cause last year Tamar and the Braxton sisters were asked about wearing their natural hair on TV and peep their answer below:

In response to whether or not we’ll ever see their natural hair, they all responded with a resounding“No!” Ok!

Tamera continued on her how husband feels about her natural hair

"My husband loves my hair like this on me, he would rather me wear my hair curly all day every day than to straighten it. I think that makes me feel great, my husband loves all of me"

Tamera posted the image to her Instagram yesterday and some of the comments made me really sad. Someone said her hairstyle was "better suited for an off day, not when she was at work". Awful! I will say though most of the comments on social media were super positive, people (for the most part) are open to seeing all types of beauty on TV.

I love her new hair, hope she keep it.
