Bonang Matheba dishes on Playboy, diva antics and her ideal wedding dress!

At the ripe age of 26, Bonang Matheba is one of South Africa's biggest names in the entertainment world. Just this year she was named the face of makeup brand Revlon SA, mentioned in Forbes magazine as one of the top ten Africans to watch and is one of the hosts of SABC's hit show "Top Billing'. Girlfriend gets it in. She recently did a SEXIFIED spread for Previdar Magazine. Check out the pics and highlights from the interview

THERE WAS A PERIOD WHEN YOU WERE ON 'LIVE' WHERE YOU WERE JUST A TV PRESENTER & ALL OF A SUDDEN EVERYONE TUNED IN TO SEE THE 'BONANG MAGIC'. WHAT DID YOU TAP INTO THERE?
A: "For me it was important to first build my presenting skills and make sure that I had everything under control and, if you remember clearly, Andile was there as well so I basically knew my place which gave me more room to learn and cultivate my talent. Then after that, when I felt my presenting was strong, I then focused on my look because you don’t want to now focus on your image while your presenting is eyebrow-raising."

*WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE COMMON MISCONCEPTION ABOUT BONANG?
A: "That I’m a bit of a diva, I’m not a nice person, I’m bitchy – I trample on people just to get what I want. I work very hard and then when people meet me they get rather disappointed when they find out that I’m none of those things - how chilled and relaxed I am. "

*YOU TURNED DOWN THE OFFER TO BE ON THE COVER OF PLAYBOY, AFTER YOU WERE ON THE COVER OF FHM. WHY DID YOU CHOOSE FHM? LOOKING AT IT, IT'S JUST AS CONTROVERSIAL.
A: "Playboy is nudity, that’s where you can see Bonang’s private parts, so that’s the difference. FHM is all about lingerie: a celebration of sensuality and sexuality. Look at it this way; I’d go to the beach in a bikini but I wouldn’t go to the beach naked."

*WHEN SHOULD WE EXPECT THAT FROM YOU? MARRIAGE, A CHILD - THE WORKS?
Every girl sees themselves walking down the aisle, of course. I’m Cancerian, so I was a born mother. As to when is that going to happen in my life - I don’t know - but not now.
*IN WHAT DRESS?
Elie Saab. I was at his Parisian boutique a month ago and I was walking around I was moved, shifted. What I saw there made me decide right there that this is what I’m going to walk down the aisle in. Or Mark Hazer and Zuhair Marad. Everybody else likes Vera Wang but I think that’s a little overrated.

Interesting right? There was a lot left undisclosed in this interview but I suppose this was a fashion spread type of thing and not so much about her  sometimes tumultuous personal life. Hmmmm
