New Miss South Africa crowned but did the right girl win?

Marilyn Ramos from Pretoria was crowned Miss South Africa 2012 on Sunday, December 9th, 2012 at the Sun City Superbowl in South Africa’s Northwest Province. There were twelve finalists who advanced to the final competition. The runner ups were: Stacey Webb (first runner-up) and Pearl Nxele (second runner-up).

I unfortunately missed the pageant but shortly after the results were announced I took to twitter to see what folks thought of the new queen. It seems a majority thought that Pearl Nxele should have won the title. Upon seeing the pics of Pearl & Marilyn I can see that it was probably a very close race, both girls are beautiful! But if I was judging..Pearl would have been my pick. Beauty is so subjective so you just never know how the judges ranked the contestants on competition day. Did you see the pageant? Did Pearl deserve the title or was Marilyn the best contestant that night? Holla at me!
