Singer Monica Brown's African print BET Awards dress

R&B sanger (yes I meant sanger, she OWNED that performance last night) Monica Brown took part in the Whitney Houston tribute during the BET 2012 Awards in LA last night soulfully singing "I Love The Lord", Whitney's hit from "The Preacher's" wife soundtrack. While all eyes and ears were focused on her crystal clear voice, I was just as equally captivated with her beyond gorgeous dress. After a little digging, I found out that Mo's style choice is an Alexander McQueen gown from his last collection prior to his sudden death. Don't we just love the combination of the African-esque print mixed in with luxurious reptile silk fabric? Such a brilliant fashion selection for Mo' who seems to have an affinity for the late designer wearing many of his pieces over the years. I can absolutely see why! What do you think of the dress?

  1. I looked all over for the designer... I too was blown away by her voice... But that dress was so beautiful. I was like I have to find out about that dress. The best performance outfit of the night by a lady.. She worked that stage.

  2. I agree BossLady! I think Monica should consider doing a gospel album, she just outdid herself last night. And the dress was just the perfect amount of class and elegance..I LOVED it!
