When I first heard the news about the Steel Magnolias 2.0 movie, I felt like Hollywood was out of ideas and inventing sloppy, old ideas to get folks to tune in. After seeing the trailer, I take back my words. I cant believe this will only be a LifeTime movie, the trailer looks so good the movie should have a theatrical release as well.
TV station Lifetime has finally released the official trailer for their upcoming remake of Steel Magnolias starring an all Black cast. Slated for a release later this year, the new version features, Queen Latifah (M'Lynn) Alfre Woodward (Ousier) Phylicia Rashad (Clairee), Jill Scott (Truvy), Adepero Oduye (Annelle) and Rashad's daughter, Condola Rashad (Shelby). Peep the trailer below, the film surprisingly looks REALLY good!
