South African President Jacob Zuma has some interesting views on political affiliations and the afterworld. Speaking in Eastern Cape on Saturday, Zuma had compared voting for the ANC to choosing to go to heaven, and voting for another party to choosing the devil.
Zuma said "When you vote for the ANC, you are also choosing to go to heaven. When you don't vote for the ANC you should know that you are choosing that man who carries a fork. When you are carrying an ANC membership card, you are blessed. When you get up there, there are different cards used but when you have an ANC card, you will be let through to go to heaven'.
Hmmm so does this mean that God is also an ANC carrier? What about the Democrats and Republicans they must be from the side of that 'man that carries a fork' huh? This is ridicolous, I hope Mr Zuma was joking uttered this statement.
Many are calling for him to apologize to the public, what do you think? Should he retract his statement or this part of the political game?
No apology needed. I think this was a joke/it reads like one any way...Politicians are always demonizing each other anyway...his humor is just a lil off color, he needs a good(/better) speech writer.
ReplyDeleteI hear you. I totally agree that if this was a joke, then the humor was lost on me. With any speech/comment from a person in politics, I sometimes worry about that some folks may take the comments literally.
