Steve Harvey & wife Marjorie storm Dubai in style!

Talk show host Steve Harvey recently  told viewers of his show that he had plans to take his the family to Dubai a few weeks ago and it seems he made good on his promise.

His wife Marjorie instagrammed a slew of  glamorous pics from the family trip, check them out below. 

The Harveys had a holly jolly Christmas Merry in Dubai as Steve, Marjorie, the kids and the adorable grandchild took in the sights of Dubai. 

In one of the snaps, Marjorie's eldest son is holding his daughter Rose while at the beach.

Just a few weeks ago the "Think Like A Man" author his wife also shared the news of their ever expanding brood with Marjorie telling viewers, “More babies are on the way.” Morgan who is Marjorie’s daughter (from a previous marriage) is expecting a baby girl with her husband and, “Rose will soon have a little playmate.”

Aren't they the real life version of the Brady Brunch? Steve has four biological children, and three bonus kids by marriage to Marjorie.

Chris Rock & wife split after 20 years of marriage

Dang! After 20 years of marriage, Chris Rock and his wife Malaak are separating. 

In a statement to People Magazine the pair confirmed:

"After much contemplation and 19 years of marriage, Chris and I have decided to go our separate ways," Malaak Compton-Rock, a philanthropist and founder of the nonprofit styleWorks, said in a statement Sunday. "Being fortunate enough to lead a life of service by working with those most vulnerable makes me well aware of life's blessings, even when faced with difficulties. 

"While recognizing that this is a significant change, my children remain at the center of my life and their well-being is my top priority. It is in this spirit that I sincerely ask that their privacy and the privacy of our family be respected during this transition in our lives." 

Dang! This makes me so sad for some reason. I know celebrities get divorced all the time but this one came out of almost nowhere.

In 2010, Chris & his wife shot down claims that He had fathered another child out of wedlock. Three years earlier, the stars defended their "happy" relationship amid divorce speculation. 

Damn. Another one bites the dust.

Rapper Ludacris proposes to his Gabonese girlfriend Eudoxie Mbouguiengue

Rapper Ludacris proposed to his girlfriend yesterday and according to him "she didn't say....she said HELL YES"

What seemed like a normal couple's trip turned into the surprise of a life time for Eudoxie. 

With other celeb friends in tow (singer Monica, former Destiny's Child member Letoya Luckett) Luda proposed in a private plane much to the shock and excitement of his fiancee. 

If you remember earlier this year, Ludacris had a baby with another woman and subsequently got into a very messy and long drawn out custody battle with the child's mother. It seems like Eudoxie welcomed him back with open arms.  Hmmmmmm chile...would you forgive him?

In any event, congrats to the couple!

By the way, the beautiful Eudoxie is a medical student and holds dual citizenship from Gabon and the United States. She was born in Gabon and the African beauty often goes back home to give back to her country. She shared a few touching pics from her trip earlier this year on her Instagram......so awesome!

When taking the step to becoming natural, at some point of your journey you should try 

at least one, “WHAT THE HELL!” product in your hair. It could be oatmeal, honey, bananas, 

avocado, and even mayonnaise. 


Once a week I co-wash; washing your maze ( natural hair) with only conditioner instead of 

shampoo. I use it because shampoo strips natural oils out of your hair. This nifty homemade

conditioner will remove enough dirt while still leaving your natural oil. Friends, I have done  a many 

homemade hair masks, but the simplest one is the avocado mix. It consists of an avocado, olive 

oil/coconut oil/your favorite oil, and honey. Avocado benefits your hair by moisturizing your dry 

scalp, vitamin B and E is in this fatty fruit and it strengthens and protects your hair, the fat also 

helps control split ends and keeps it shiny. The honey in this mix is a natural softener and natural 

antioxidant, which makes your scalp healthy and promotes hair growth. We used coconut oil this 

time and it helps damaged hair, hair loss, and it is a great hair conditioner. This week I asked my 

girl Kiera if I could use her maze to show you guys exactly how it looks when doing this mask. 

First thing we did was smash the avocado, oil, and honey all together, if you have a 

blender I would advise using that because the chunks of the avocado is a pain to get out of the 

hair. Once everything has a soft consistency I continued to distribute it in her hair by sections. It 

may take a while, but the point is to make sure every single strand of hair has this mask in it. 

Depending on how much time you have, will depend on how long you keep it in. But at the 

minimum I would advise at least 25min, there have been times where I have left mine in for 

45min to an hour. When time is up, wash it out with warm water and your hair should be 

beautifully soft, stronger and hopefully without little chunks of avocado left in there.

House of DVF winner announced. Meet the first ever their first ever global ambassador!!

During last night's 'House of DVF' finale, the legendary designer Diane Von Furstenberg selected her first official brand ambassador.

25 year old Brittany Hampton won the enviable title. She was raised in San Francisco and is currently a Hollywood based free lance stylist. She became the first in house stylist for Nicklodeon and her celebrity clients include Ariana Grande, Jaden Smith and many more!

  

Brittany beat out the other two finalists Amanda Schaur and Kier Mellour.

Why I Decided To Go Natural

My sister Erica has the BEST head of hair EVER. No seriously, her hair is amazing! We went natural around the same time and each time I see her, I am absolutely floored at how long, healthy and luminous her hair is. At the tender age of 20 my baby sister is an expert on all things natural hair. She spends hours upon hours (when she's not studying in college) scouring the web and looking up the best ways to take care and grow your natural hair. So I asked baby sis to start a column sharing her natural hair journey and this is her first blog post.

What made you want to go natural? Was it seeing people on Instagram, Facebook, or Pinterest? Wanting healthier hair? Wanting change? Or maybe Solange Knowles, she is very convincing right?

I cannot pin point just one reason for others wanting to go natural, I can only explain my path.

I decided to go natural for three reasons; healthier hair, self-acceptance, and because my hair was literally the same length for two years, that was definitely a problem for me. Taking the first step with anything in life can be petrifying, but at the end it’s worth the risk. I was nervous about my choice so I decided to transition for a year, then at the end of my year I would cut what was left of my permed hair. For a year I had braids and weaves to protect my hair, also because I could not tame the beast I was growing.

I officially became natural July 31, 2013. It has never just been about hair, deciding to go natural was the first time I made a decision for myself and by myself. I did not care what anyone else was doing or what they thought. It was the first step into accepting my natural state.

 Just to be clear I am not on “#teamnatural” or “#teamperm,”although my Instagram and my friends will tell you different, I am on “#teamMe.” It has been a year and five months of healthy hair, growing hair, and although I am not my hair, it is one of the many steps that started my journey to self -acceptance.
