Have you guys checked out Solange's new EP "True"? It's one of my favorite albums of 2012, it's really amazing! Anywho, Bey's lil sister is featured in the January issue of GQ Magazine wearing her usually fro-tastic hair in a sleek & straight style. Solo is wearing an Azzedine Alaia skirt, Jimmy Choo sandals, and Jennifer Fisher jewellery.

Also in the piece are NYC bands Grizzly Bear, Blood Orange and Dirty Projects

Chris Brown and Rihanna landed in fabulous style in the Ivory Coast this morning. Whitney and Bobby 2.0 are in the economic capital Abidjan for the Kora awards also known as the "African Grammys". On a scale of one to ten how pissed is Karreuche Tran? Remember when K tweeted a pic of herself on Christmas day wearing nothing but Breezy's t-shirt and now Rih shows up in Africa wearing a similar shirt? Ahhhh the childish and immature ways! Nonhle and her baby COVER Drum Magazine!

Nonclaire is back in action y'all! After her tumultuous and thoroughly entertaining twitter meltdown last year the TV personality seems to be on a come-back path! This week Nonhle and her adorable baby Star are on the cover of Drum Magazine. What a sweet looking baby! She tells the mag:
"I was under a lot of stress and had been depressed for almost two years. So when it finally happened, I knew she was a star – the light in the darkness of what I was going through.

Why are folks hatin' on Kimora Lee Simmon's beach body?

Hmmm this sounds like jealousy to me. A few days ago pictures surfaced of Kimora Lee Simmons frolicking in picturesque St. Barts over the Christmas holiday . The 37 year old entrepreneur and former supermodel is on currently on vacation with her kids, ex husband Russell Simmons and his current girlfriend. Still following? Talk about a blended family right?

In any event, I saw the pics of the FAB reality star and thought people would marvel at the mommy of 3's banging bikini body. But much to my chagrin folks was hatin. A few of the comments I saw online:

"How can anyone as young and thin as she is, have such sagging and droopy boobs"

"Kimora is that you looking like a soaked Thai noodle...."

"She looks like a young Jackie Stallone.."

These are just a few of the comments that I read that are a bit on the tame side. People can be SO mean online. Why all the hate towards the mommy of 3's body? I honestly think she looks GREAT! Keep turning them lemons into lemonade Kimora. I bet she's laughing all the way to bank!

2012 has been a great year for Brandy! She released one of my favorite albums this year Two Eleven, appeared in hit TV shows/ movies and found love in a hopeless place.

 You will recall that earlier this year Bran told everybody and their momma how badly she wanted to get hitched. Well, it seems her wildest dreams came true in Hawaii on a recent vacay: she confirmed her engagement to music executive Ryan Press! The pair live together in LA and Ryan allegedly has a great relationship with the singer's daughter and family. In a twitter pic posted just a few hours ago Bran shared a pic of her engagement ring....and it looks great right?!! Congrats are in order for the two!

E!'s Fashion Police co-host Kelly Osbourne has done a fantastic job of transforming her image. From her days as a chubby teenager to her now stylish stint as a fashion powerhouse Miss Obsourne is working it. In a new interview with People Magazine she says there's no simple trick to losing weight. Kelly is said to be careful about her food – enjoying pizza and chocolate cake in moderation. But she also exercises every day, something she says has become addictive in a good way.

"When I started exercising I couldn't even do one sit-up," Osbourne said. "By the end of the first week I could do three, and that was a big deal. Now I work out every day and I just don't feel good if I miss it. It's amazing how quickly your fitness builds, but you have to really want it."

Meet 32 year old Melissa Nelson who was fired for being "too irresistible" and a threat to her former employer's marriage. Adding insult to injury, this past Friday an all male Iowa State Supreme court ruled that James Knight, Melissa's former boss was within his legal rights when he fired her, affirming the decision of a lower court.

Melissa and her boss both admit that never had an affair but apparently James had an issue with Melissa's tight clothing saying it was a distraction. The ditzy dentist even told her "that if she saw his pants bulging, she would know her clothing was too revealing,".

Unbelievable! So reading between all the nonsense here - she essentially got fired because her boss found her attractive and his wife was jealous? The fact that is legal is beyond comprehension! Whatever happened to being a professional? Never mind the fact that Melissa is a married woman, who does this guy think he is? People like him irk me to no end!

I hope Melissa get's the justice that she deserves, what do you think of this story? Was the dentist within his right to fire her? Ladies would you have an issue with your husband working with an attractive woman?

I met Deepak Chopra!

This was ABSOLUTELY the highlight of my week. I was invited to a swanky NYC penthouse party and on my way out I bumped into the one and only Deepak Chopra. This man is such an inspiration, it was so great to meet him albeit just for a few minutes. I asked for a pic and he quickly obliged. It made me love him even more! Can't wait to find out what 2013 brings for me, it will be awesome no doubt! What was the highlight of your week?

SURPRISE: Actor Michael Ealy is a married man

He sure knows how to keep a secret. People Magazine is reporting that the Think Like A Man actor wed his long time girlfriend of 4 years a little over 2 months ago. Michael, 39, and Khatira Rafiqzada, 31 got married in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles.

"Michael has always been a private guy, and he wanted to enjoy his time as a newlywed with his wife privately," his rep said. "Now that some time has passed and the holidays are here, he wanted to share the news with his fans that he is married and very happy."

I can hear the hearts breaking all over the world! Ladies (and gents) love them some Michael Ealy. Lol! Congrats to the couple!

We have a new Miss Universe & a South African born Miss USA!

Congrats are in order for Rhode Island beauty Olivia Culpo. Miss USA is our new Miss Universe. Get it girl! I had my money on Australia but I am happy for Olivia. Here are the final rankings:

I am so happy for Nana. Many felt she should have won Miss USA earlier this year and it seems fate worked out in her favor.  She just tweeted:
"Ahhhhhhh congrats to Olivia! All I can think of is her and the children of the Meriwether Foundation"

The Meriwether Foundation is Nana's nonprofit in Southern Africa. They focus on operating medical and healthcare clinics, sustaining HIV/AIDS orphanages and establishing community and agricultural projects in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique.

Gabby Sidibe lands AfroPop hosting gig!

Senegalese-American actress Gabourey Sidibe has a new job! The Oscar nominates star will host season five of a docu-series entitled AfroPoP: The Ultimate Cultural Exchange.

The documentary series will showcase independent films about contemporary life and culture from across the diaspora.

The show premieres nationally on PBS' World Channel on January 22, and will run weekly, through February 5. I can't wait to see this, will you be tuning in?

Last night singer Kelly Rowland performed on the VH1 Divas special and she had tongues wagging about her posterior more than her actual stage performance. Did Kelly get a butt lift y'all? While she's been open about getting plastic surgery in the past, it is very possible that she has had a little surgical assistance in attaining her perfect bootylicious a**. The former Destiny's Child singer has said in the past "If my butt is falling, I'm going to pick it up. I'm not against it"

Ps may I add that if she did, I wish more women would go to her doctor. Kelly's plastic surgery is very discreet, her tweaks are not over the top. This is way more natural looking than some of the surgeries I see. I'm talking to you Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim :)

Tonight the VH1 Divas show went down in Los Angeles with performances from some the music industry's brightest stars. Well maybe not brighest stars maybe more like B or C list celebrities... you know I'm laying the shade on thick this morning..let me stop..LOL

Hosted by Adam Lambert, the show featured tributes to some our most talented divas from yesteryear. Yes a man can be a diva too. Madonna, Micheal Jackson, Whitney Houston and Donna Summer were some of the stars from pop music royalty that received honors tonight.

Singers Keri Hilson, Kelly Rowland & Adam Lambert kicked off a fun filled performance singing disco legend Donna's hits. Sigh..can I be honest? I am rooting for Kelly but something is just always a little off in her performances.....check out the video:

After being on the sick and shut in list Kate Middleton finally made her first public appearance! And guess what? The Duchess of Cambridge looks great!

Wearing a green floor length Alexander McQueen gown, the momma-to-be was spotted at the BBC's Sports Personality of The Year Awards in London. Go ahead Kate- serve them fierceness in that thigh high center slit! Who said momma's cant WERQ it?

Jamie Foxx tells Oprah he doesn't believe in marriage. Is that unnatural to you?

Actor/singer/comedian Jamie Foxx sat down with talk show host Oprah Winfrey for a 2 part series that aired  on her OWN network just this past Sunday. While the two talked about a number of issues (I will post the full video video later) one of statements that the funny man made lit up my timeline in a serious way.

When the talk show queen posed the question of marriage to Jamie he responded "I feel like I have been put on earth for a certain thing, and maybe marriage didn't come with that". I'm sure a LOT women (and some men too) were sorely disappointed with Jamie's reluctance to get hitched. The 45 year old actor has never been married but he does have a teenage daughter from a previous relationship and a toddler from a separate union.

I applaud Jamie for having the honesty to state his truth about his idea of marriage as unconventional as they may be. He also told Mama O that he is not sure that he can commit long term, I'm assuming that he is honest with his babies momma's about his lack of interest in being in a lengthy relationship or in tying the knot. While I am super AMPED about someday planning my dream wedding, the truth is I am more focused on a commitment in my relationship than a fleeting ceremony that will soon be a distant memory. But don't get it twisted my wedding will be the bombdot.com :) I'm just focused on a marriage than a wedding..

Chris Brown performs in South Africa & causes PANDEMONIUM at Durban Mall

So Rihanna or Karreuche Tran's boo thang performed in Johannesburg, South Africa this weekend. Based on what I read on twitter the show got mixed reviews. Some felt the concert was too short coming in at an hour and half but other folks felt Brown brought it. Listen if you travel all the way from Africa, you better sing and dance your heart out for more than an hour, people want to hear your hits. Team Breezy goes hard in South Africa, they have been excited about this concert for months!

 

Did you go? How was it? I also read he lit up a blunt onstage? I see Breezy is not trying to shake that bad boy image.

South African newspaper, the Sowetan Live recently held a poll to find out who Mzansi's sexiest woman alive was and the winner (for the second time in a row) was TV actress and host Boity Thulo.

The 22 year old beauty is also the face of Iman cosmetics in South Africa!

Thoughts? Is she South Africa's sexiest woman alive? She is a pretty girl but I don't know if she would have been my number one pick. Top 5 for sure..but you know beauty is subjective.

Next up is the woman commonly referred to as the Julia Roberts of Nollywood. The gorgeous Genevieve Nnaji. In a poll conducted by a popular Nigerian radio host  Toolz a few days ago, the 33 year actress was named Nigeria's sexiest woman alive.

While I love Genevieve and I think she deserves the title, this pose with the mouth open ain't the business. Looks like they caught her mid-sentence, she deserves better than this. Genevieve is still hot though!

And well what about the rest of the world? The Huffington Post readers named their pick for the sexiest woman in the world and the winner was none other than Jennifer Lawrence. Jennifer is GORG but in the world?!? Hmmm I don't know, what about Nia Long? Sofia Vergara? Scarlett Johansen? Beyonce? I'm just saying..
